Fayetteville — Cindy Jo Allen, MBA, BSN, RN has been named vice president and assistant chief operating officer at Washington Regional Medical Center. Allen has more than 18 years of experience in the health care industry in nurse leadership, process improvement and hospital administration roles including most recently holding positions as assistant administrator at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and administrator of public health laboratories at Washington State Department of Health in Shoreline, Washington.

In her role at Washington Regional, Allen will be responsible for organizing, planning, and managing the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the surgical services, imaging, laboratory, therapy and pharmacy departments. She will work closely with department heads and other system leaders to ensure smooth operations, quality care, and positive patient experiences and outcomes.

Allen holds a Master of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Whitman College.
