New Directors Appointed at WRHS

BATESVILLE - Gary Bebow, White River Health System (WRHS) administrator/CEO, is pleased to announce the appointment of Caren Barnett to Director of Rehabilitation Services, Melanie Creighton to Director of Women’s Health Services, and Jeff Reifsteck to Director of Information Technology (IT).

As directors, they are responsible for the daily operations of their respective departments including staffing, quality, patient satisfaction, and budgeting.  Barnett is responsible for the daily operations of therapy provided in the acute care setting, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Recuperative Care, as well as outpatient therapy in Cardiac Rehabilitation, PROS Clinic, and Stone County Medical Center (SCMC).  Creighton directs and coordinates patient care for Women’s Health, Maternal, and Newborn Services.  Reifsteck is responsible for overseeing an IT department that provides 24/7 support to physicians and employees using more than 3,000 devices in all WRHS locations.

Barnett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA.  She also graduated with distinction from Arcadia University where she earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy with an emphasis on cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.  Barnett has more than 30 years of experience with 10 of those years being in management.  She is a certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner and holds a certificate in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT BIG) for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.  She and her husband John moved from Georgia last year.  They reside in Melbourne where they enjoy country living with goats, chickens, and pets.  They plan to add horses in the future.

Creighton received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University.  She has been part of the WRMC nursing staff since 1993.  Creighton worked in Women’s Health for the five years and is a Certified Lactation Counselor.  She plans to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing this fall.  She and her husband Kevin are Batesville natives and have been married for 20 years.  They have two daughters, Lauren, 19 and Lindsey, 13. 

Reifsteck holds an Associate of Applied Science from Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL.  He graduated from Colorado State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Healthcare Management.  Reifsteck has 22 years of experience in healthcare IT operations, security, and successful project management.  He and his wife Pam moved to Batesville from northern Illinois.  They have four sons; one in the Washington DC area, one at the University of Minnesota, one at Indiana University, and one at home in Batesville.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, and exploring Arkansas.
