UAMS Names Vice Chancellor for Institutional Compliance
Robert W. Bishop has been named vice chancellor for institutional compliance at UAMS. Prior to his appointment, Bishop served UAMS as associate general counsel for nine years.

An attorney specializing in the areas of healthcare, higher education, employment law and regulatory matters, Bishop's newly created position centralizes UAMS' compliance efforts previously in place to monitor institutional compliance with all applicable laws and university policies.

Bishop also serves as a colonel in the Arkansas Air National Guard as state staff judge advocate and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law. His undergraduate degree is from Davidson College in North Carolina.
