UAMS Mulls Second Campus in Arkansas

Representatives from UAMS and the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees recently visited the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, Kan., a satellite campus of the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Lawrence.

Reports indicate that northwest Arkansas is the most likely place for the new campus and more on this story will be in the September issue of Medical News of Arkansas.

UAMS is already involved in a $265 million campus expansion in Little Rock, focused mainly on a major addition to the UAMS Medical Center. The hospital provides clinical education for medical residents and students in other UAMS programs, in addition to patient care.
