Phillips New Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology Service
Paul Phillips, MD, was recently named chief of pediatric ophthalmology at the UAMS and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Phillips, an assistant professor of ophthalmology, joined the faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology in the UAMS College of Medicine in 1997. As chief of pediatric ophthalmology, he succeeds Christopher Westfall, MD, a professor of ophthalmology, who will continue as vice chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology.

A native of New York, Phillips was graduated summa cum laude from State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School. After interning in Hartford, Conn., he completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida Eye Center in Gainesville.
