CenterPoint Energy recently presented a check of $13,224 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, Greater Arkansas Chapter.

The money was raised by a statewide effort by almost 500 CenterPoint Energy employees in twenty-five offices throughout the state who took part in a "virtual" JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes along with a variety other activities like bake sales and potluck lunches. CenterPoint Energy was the top corporate team for the 2006 Central Arkansas JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes that was held this past September.
