Arkansas Children's Hospital Specialty Nurse Nancy Tucker, RN, has been recognized by Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis as the 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient for outstanding achievement in the profession of nursing and commitment to community education.

Tucker, who graduated from the college in 1975, was nominated by one of her former instructors, Professor Denise Shumaker, who had heard about Tucker's accomplishments.

"To be in the ranks of those who were ahead of me, who had already been nominated for this, was quite humbling," Tucker said.
